Want a lovely relaxing break then this site is highly recommended, fantastic lakeside setting, watch the squirrels, and wildlife go by. Lovely to walk round the lake to a carpet of snowdrops. Very quiet site, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Easy access to York by bus from the park and ride site opposite or take a steady walk down by the river into York. Mrs M, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire 09 March 2011
Me, my partner and baby went and it was amazing from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The location was fantastic because you seemed so far away but everything you could possibly need is on your doorstep, re-booking for June, fantastic holiday! Miss F, Clacton-on-sea, Essex 22 February 2011
Lovely quiet place with beautiful views onto the lake, stunning. Mr C, Ripon, North Yorkshire 16 November 2010
Superb location looking over a lake but only 2 miles out of the city, park and ride to the city just a 5 minute walk away, very cheap and reliable service. This is our fourth time back, all good. Mr V, BRISTOL 31 October 2010
York Lakeside Lodges is a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place. The lodges are well equipped with all the latest technology and are airy and really clean. The staff are friendly and really helpful and we will definitely be returning in the near future. This place is a must for fishermen and non fishermen alike. Mr C, Rotherham, South Yorkshire 14 October 2010
If you're into fishing and have a family, then the lodges are perfect. It's a great location to walk to the frequent park and ride buses that go to York. The lake is really nice, quiet too. Mr H, Epping, Essex 16 August 2010
The accommodation is superb and for anyone who dreams of a quiet getaway close to the beautiful city of York, this is the park for them. Mrs W, ORPINGTON, Kent 13 May 2010
The lodges are set around a lovely lake and are well equipped and spacious. The location is perfect for the park and ride into York. 5 mins walk to the bus and then 10 mins bus ride into the center of York. No need to use the car. Ms H, ORPINGTON, Kent 08 May 2010
The holiday was a really good price, the location was very good, the lodges were fantastic had everything you needed, were warm and cosy, and Neil the manager was great and very helpful. We thought this holiday was magical, with snow on the ground and ducks knocking on the window to be feed - truly wonderful! Mr S, Beckton, London 07 January 2010
The location was very convenient for the city of York with easy access to the nearby park and ride, and great for cycling or walking into the city. The park itself was in a lovely setting. Mrs K, BURNLEY, Lancashire 04 January 2010

An ideal location to visit York and the surrounding areas. An informative welcome pack and brochures, the accommodation was well equipped and the view overlooking the lake was calming and pleasant. The park was extremely quiet and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxed holiday. Mrs J, AYR, Ayrshire 10 August 2009

The accommodation was very good, the lodge was by the lakeside and the pubs are good for the food. The fishing is good for the bream on the swing tip. Mr E, Braintree, Essex 06 July 2009
The location perfect for visit surrounding areas, and it has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A superb weekend! Mrs D, Wigan, Lancashire 16 March 2009
The perfect location if you want to explore York without your car. A beautiful and peaceful park but so convenient. The bus stop (10 mins into city centre) and a massive supermarket are only a 5 minute walk from the accommodation. The lodges are well furnished and equipped and the owners had added several little finishing touches usually lacking in self catering accomodation such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, all towels and tea towels and tea and coffe tray laid out for your arrival with a small jug of milk in the fridge. There was even a vase of fresh flowers on the table! Mrs W, Ipswich, Suffolk 20 February 2009
This site was in an excellent location with easy access to both York and it's obvious benefits and many locations around. We enjoyed an easy walk into York on many occasions but also used the Park and Ride which was an excellent service. Having a large Tesco close by was also a bonus as it had everything that we needed for self-catering and general holiday needs. We would have no hesitation using this site again. Mrs B, Sandbach 12 July 2008
The park is very relaxing and makes a great place to unwind, located only a short distance out of wonderful York. Mrs K, Manchester, Lancashire 19 May 2008
An ideal position for visiting York, and the Park n Ride only 300 yards away saves on car parking - plus its only 40 miles to the coast! Ms L, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire 28 April 2008
I would recommend this holiday as the owners were very friendly and helpful, and the park was clean and very attractive. Mrs D, Rotherham, South Yorkshire 03 March 2008
Such a peaceful and quiet park - we will be coming back again! Mr B, Bradford, West Yorkshire 04 August 2007
